We Have Coordinated 2,000 Contracts!

Real Estate Virtual Assistant

We‘ve reached another HUGE milestone here at Virtual Business Solutions Real Estate!

The company as a whole has coordinated 2,000 contracts as of this month!

Transaction coordinating started as a service that only our CEO Tiffany did, while our COO Tristan did the listings. As of 2019, we have evolved to a staff of sixteen, 5 of whom are transaction coordinators. In 2016 we created a transaction coordinator manager position to complete audits,  increase oversight and to have ongoing and available mentorship. In May of 2019, we hit 2,000 contracts closed.

The success we have achieved is due to an outstanding all-encompassing package:

  • Robust & Thorough: Sending all contact information to all parties no matter whose side we support. Proactive measures, asking for items before they’re late, checking in with all parties before issues are brought to us in the final hour. Handling the clients system of record - Dotloop, Skyslope, Reesio - we know them all! Sending the extra touches to the client (utility transfer, walk through of home warranty process).

  • Marketing Included: We ensure everything you need to maximize from your transaction is included. Request reviews, social media posts after closing and designing your Just Sold postcard.

  • Brand Ambassador: Our coordinators work out of assistant accounts to appear in-house with the agent. Many agents that call me have worked with our team on the other side of transaction and never knew. Our intention is to strengthen our clients brand and not our own.

Our team goes above and beyond to please each client. Their ambition to over-deliver, coupled with a robust and proactive system, all packaged at a price an independent agent can pay or a broker can absorb for his team, has positioned us as leaders in this niche industry.

Thank you to an amazing team and incredibly loyal clients, we celebrate today, 2,000 contracts coordinated!

The Boss Ladies of VBSRE!

Boss Ladies VBS.png
And one day she discovered that she was fierce, and strong, and full of fire, and that not even she could hold herself back because her passion burned brighter than her fears

Our CEO, Tiffany Haynes and COO, Tristan Skiles are the amazing boss ladies behind Virtual Business Solutions and Virtual Business Solutions Real Estate! These ladies handle all the business details while also finding time to focus on their families. They have the work-life balance locked down and are the true definition of #bossladies!

From mentoring new team members to listening to employees’ personal issues. From supporting colleagues unconditionally to helping those facing workplace blues – we are so thankful that no matter how hard they crack the whip, they have a strong, loving human side to their leadership.

They assign work tasks to the team that allows each individual the chance to expand on their knowledge and build confidence in their abilities, while also being there to answer questions and provide support. They transform our mistakes into valuable lessons. Their leadership and dedication has made us all more productive and converted all of our skills into strengths.

They bring out the best in each team member and do the same for each other. We love our #BossLadies!

Do you know what it takes to be a powerful and confident boss lady? Well, have a seat, and let’s get right into it. We’re going to tell you the top 10 things all future #GirlBosses will need to know to make their dreams of success a reality.

1. TRUST YOUR TALENT AND ABILITY TO MANAGE THE HARD STUFF

Research shows that if you’re an over-achiever, you’re more likely to suffer from Impostor’s Syndrome, that nagging feeling that no matter how accomplished and good you are at your job, it’s only by fluke that you’ve managed to get this far. Like most high-achievers, you set the bar pretty high for yourself. Your standard of “good enough” is far (faaaar) higher than your average person, and so, you are going to be plagued by the sense that your work is never good enough. If you’re going to be a game-changer, you’ll need to rid yourself of these feelings of inadequacy and just trust your talent. As MrsGuided.com founder Alison Kornberg-Walch pointed out, ‘You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.'”

2. DON’T BACK DOWN FROM A FIGHT OR AN OPPORTUNITY

As a future boss lady, your ability to spot opportunities and stick to your guns will determine the swiftness of your meteoric rise to success. “If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship,” says Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, “don’t ask what seat! Just get on.” Whether you are asking your boss for a raise, or standing up to a bitchy co-worker, confrontation is basically a non-negotiable skill in the work place. The same is true of opportunities. And like conflicts, they rarely come when it’s most convenient for you, so when they do, be ready and don’t hesitate for a moment.

3. LEARN TO LOVE YOUR HATERS

One of the greatest misconceptions about life is that it’s supposed to be easy. This may be true for a very lucky few, but for the majority of us the world is going to be an unforgiving place where nothing good comes easily. With every step you climb, there will be a swarm of haters to drag you down. These are the mosquitoes and crying babies of the professional world. Take a step back, keep things in perspective and don’t take it personally.

4.  LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY

Ever heard of professional hubris? It’s what can happen when you are young, talented and you’ve never been turned down, so of course you’re going to think you are God’s gift to [insert your profession here]. Yes, you may be amazing at your job, but you are still going to make mistakes and learn a lot along the way. You should never feel like your learning days are behind you. Within the first three years out of college, your professional skills will likely quadruple. That is, as long as you are open to learning and accept that there is always some way you can improve.

5. REDEFINE YOURSELF

Take a good long look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see? If the person staring back at you feels little different from your 18 year old self, you still have some spiritual and emotional growing to do. Though its amazing to feel young at any age, its a whole other thing when this means that you’re not allowing yourself to feel the power of responsibility that comes with being an adult. A boss lady is an ambitious and talented woman whose decisions can impact not just her own life, but the whole world. That’s the incredible power (and burden) of responsibility that comes with reaching for your dreams. Absorb the image of strength into your identity, and know that you are no longer just a kid playing grown up, but someone who can change the world.

6. TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR EMOTIONS

“You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day,” wrote Elizabeth Gilbert in Eat Pray Love, “This is a power you can cultivate.” Be resilient, level-headed and confident. Take a chapter from Kelly Cutrone and go outside if you need to cry at work. It sounds harsh, but all she meant is that you are not your feelings. There is a huge difference between thinking “I feel angry” and “I am angry.” In one you identify a feeling, and in the other you identify WITH the feeling. This isn’t a big deal…until shit hits the fan at work and you end up falling apart emotionally. Feelings are just random impulses that happen to your body. By not identifying with your emotions, you will be able to stay cool and rational even in the most stressful work situations.

7. FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY

Fear can take many forms, for some it is the fear of looking stupid, or of looking like you don’t know what you’re doing. Being a boss lady means knowing that taking risks and looking stupid is an essential part of the learning process. Don’t overthink this, just go for it.

8. CHECK THAT ATTITUDE OF SCARCITY

There are statistically very few rich people on this planet. We don’t know you, but we’re willing to bet that most of you reading this right now probably didn’t grow up in a home where you used dollar bills to light your Venetian marble fireplace. But what happens if you grow up feeling like you never had any of the things you wanted or needed as a kid? Some people develop an attitude of scarcity, plagued with a feeling of being stuck on the sidelines while everyone else has the time of their lives. It can be incredibly difficult to reach for your stars when all your life the world has been sending you messages that people like you don’t make it to the top. People who’ve grown up with financial (or emotional) deprivation will tend to obsess over what they lack, instead of taking stock of what they do have. Those who had very little food will over-eat, those who had very little to wear will become shopacholics. Studies reveal that an attitude of scarcity has a measurable short-term effect on both your body, and can drop your IQ by as much as 13 points, not to mention what it does to your self-esteem and overall motivation. So do yourself and your future success a big favor and start a gratitude journal. Write in it every day. Don’t let your past stand in the way of your future.

9. FIND YOUR PEOPLE

You know the saying, “Build it and they will come”? It should really be, “Find them and it will get built.” Whether you are starting a new handbag line, or are freelancing as a photographer, nothing good ever gets built without a good team to help guide, inspire and motivate you along the difficult path to your dreams.

10. IT TAKES YEARS OF PRACTICE TO REACH PERFECTION

Boss Ladies tend to have a serious perfectionist streak, which means that they feel disappointed with themselves when they can’t get things perfect from the start. Best-selling author Emily Giffin, put it this way, “Perfection isn’t what matters. In fact, it’s the very thing that can destroy you if you let it.” Whether you’re designing dresses or websites, whether you’re a photographer or a producer, your technique will naturally get better over time. It’s important to have that long term, practice makes perfect perspective and develop an attitude of “this is good enough for now.” If you wait until it’s perfect, you’re going to end up waiting forever.

VBS Team Event 2019

In February 2019, our team came together in Dallas for a team building DISC Assessment exercise with the G.O.A.T - Eric Thomas! He takes the DISC assessment to a different level with the Animal Assessment and taught us how to communicate effectively with each other and any personality we come across. This day will be in the history books!

I knew my team was amazing but they all look like superheroes to me now, all with a combination of powers that I lack and powers the company so desperately needs to reach the next level. I anticipated that they would enjoy this experience but EVERY SINGLE PERSON has contacted me after and said, "this changed my life." To hear that from one person puts me on a natural high to hear that from each team member has transcended my spirit. - Tiffany Haynes, Owner (VBS Real Estate)

I cannot say enough good things about the Assessment Review that Eric and his team did for our business. From the review via phone call, prior to the event, to the team building session, it was informative, personable, and motivating. The assessment was spot on in capturing my true personality, preferences, and adaptive style. It helped me to see a birds-eye-view on how I react to different situations, manage stress, deal with other personalities, parent, work in business, and on a personal level. On the day of the event, Eric and his team were able to break down the different animals in a way that helped our team be able to understand one another better. We were able to look at how our team was functioning and see ways in which we could improve, what we were doing right, and how we can continue to work together most efficiently in order to propel the business forward for success. It was a great day! I would highly recommend having ET and his team come and do the same event for your business/team! - Tristan Skiles, COO (VBS Real Estate)

The event was packed full of insightful information. Gaining better insight into myself, my preferred method of communication, as well as my triggers, has been helpful not only at work but at home too. It was extremely beneficial to also gain insight into how others think and prefer to be communicated with and how they might react in different situations. One of my most impactful takeaways was learning how to adapt without compromising my true self! - Angela Williams, Listing Coordinating Manager (VBS Real Estate)

The whole day was amazing! Starting with the test, I found out I am not the animal I expected. After ET and Preach talked to us, they made me realize that how I am and knowing how I react to people and situations is okay. My strengths are an asset, and by knowing my weaknesses, I can now work on them in order to help myself perform better. ET was truly an energetic force! He made things clear and helped our whole team realize we can function on another level! It was simply awesome! - Shelly Labrier, Virtual Assistant (VBS Real Estate)

I had the Privilege of meeting and speaking with Eric Thomas. Little did I know how much it would change my outlook on individuals, work, and my personal life. He explained to me my personality and why I work the way I do, as well as my co-workers. It opened my eyes to what I am better at doing and helped my co-workers see it as well. I now have tasks I LOVE to work on. Not only does that make me happy but also helps my company grow. I feel I can read people much better and see how they work in different environments. Eric has really opened a door for me personally. I see how my husband and children’s personalities are all different and it helps me work things out with them in a different way. Honestly, life and relationships in a workplace and home have been set at ease and much more relaxed. I can’t thank Eric enough for speaking with all of us at our company and helping us grow with each other and ourselves. - Laura Southwell, Virtual Assistant (VBS Real Estate)

Our CEO Meets Up with VA, Jeani Codrey!

When Jeani Codrey came through the DFW area, she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to catch up with her boss, Tiffany Haynes! Jeani is one of our newest VA’s and she is doing an amazing job! She handles everything from social media to e-marketing and transaction coordinating. Learn more about Jeani below:

Jeani has an extensive background in the real estate industry. She worked her way through college by managing rental properties and flipping houses with her mom. Jeani has an Associates Degree in graphic design and copywriting. After graduation, she started a small graphic design firm designing websites and advertising for real estate agents. Her mom wanted to build a real estate team and asked Jeani to get her Texas real estate license and come to work for her exclusively. Together they formed The PRO Team. They were the number one team in their office, brokerage firm of 5 offices and in their marketplace. The team eventually opened their own office where Jeani served as managing broker. During that time Jeani earned 9 real estate designations, her Texas brokers license and became a TREC licensed instructor. She is the creator of ten courses and training programs and serves on the faculty of the REALTOR® Academy at San Antonio Board of REALTORS®.  Jeani believes in servant leadership and giving back as evidenced by her industry service record, being awarded REALTOR® of the Year in 2005 and earning a seat in the esteemed Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program.

Jeani left real estate for a couple of years to take care of her business partner/beloved mom as her health failed and she ultimately passed. She made her return to real estate at the urging of her son who told her "Real estate is in your genes, it's time to go back!" Jeani returned as office manager of a real estate firm in San Antonio where she worked until April 2018.

Why Virtual Assistant? On November 26, 2016, Jeani survived cardiac arrest and a massive heart attack at age 50. The events of that terrifying day forever changed the perspective of she, her family, and friends. A decision was made that day to change the course of life. Jeani and her husband Jerry decided to sell their home, buy an RV and travel the country full-time and the role of real estate virtual assistant was the perfect fit. She is dedicated to using her experience to help the agents she supports grow their business.
